Pada 26 Januari lalu pasukan baru ditubuhkan The Lanun mengadakan perlawanan sulung mereka menentang Seryes FC. Perlawanan persahabatan ini berkesudahan 2-2.

Meskipun hujan turun lebat pada separuh masa pertama, ia tidak mematahkan semangat kedua-dua pasukan untuk terus berjuang dan bergelut dalam padang sawah.

Seryes FC membuka jaringan pertama hasil kesilapan komunikasi antara pertahanan dan penjaga gawang. Namun The Lanun berjaya mengejar semula apabila berjaya mendapatkan jaringan melalui sepakan sudut hasil tolakan Atok dalam kotak penalti yang kelam kabut.

Seryes FC sekali lagi menjarakan kedudukan apabila berjaya menjaringkan gol hasil percubaan rembatan jauh dalam separuh masa kedua. Sekali lagi The Lanun menyamakan kedudukan melalui sepakan sudut. Kali ini hasil tolakan Anuar dalam kotak penalti yang juga kelam kabut.

Kemasukan ayam tambatan The Lanun dalam separuh masa kedua, Lawrence berjaya mengucar kacirkan pertahanan lawan namun beberapa peluang berharga gagal disempurnakan oleh pemain serangan The Lanun.

Disini Lembaga Pengarah Lanun FC ingin mengucapkan jutaan terima kasih kepada mereka yang hadir terutamanya para menyokong The Lanun yang memberi sokongan.

Manager of The Lanun thrilled after Director of MMU League, Bob The Charming announce no playoff game for any new team.

First week of the semester, Bob state there will be playoff matches for new team since league only open for 16 spots. Top 12 ranked teams in MMU confirm places in the league and last 4 slots settle on a playoff match among lower rank and new teams.

The next week Bob said The Lanun will face SRM FC for last spot in league since there only 17 registered teams. Days after that Bob finally give great news as no playoff game because 19 teams registered. As a result there will be four groups with 5 5 5 4 teams.

Even though Lanun FC has been around 5 years in MMU, they consider as a new team for this league because rank points calculate based on participation in semester one Divisions league and semester two Cup competition. Absent for both semester means Lanun FC with zero points.

Lanun FC never takes part on semester one division’s league and semester two cup competition past four years. They try entering once for divisions league but lose to Phlamze in playoff game.

Manager “I’m really happy we able to skip playoff match because luck not on our side when it come to playoff. We not a strong team compare to experiences and players of other teams. We ready for playoff but with this wonderful news means we don’t have to show all out our tricks and tactics…lets pray we draw group with average teams haha”

Newly formed Lanun FC team for 2010 MMU League call The Lanun will kick starts their pre season with a friendly against their traditional rival Seryes FC on Wednesday 27 Feb.

Seryes FC highly respected team in MMU league after being well established more than 5 years in MMU football arena. They never miss any football competition organize in MMU with best result finish third in MMU League. This friendly vital to The Lanun as it gives momentum and help motivates player’s spirit before league start. This game also will determine how strong and how far can The Lanun go this semester.

The Lanun got slickly advantage after their captain Senyum have play two season with Seryes FC during absent period of Lanun FC last two semester. Consider as secret weapons and a thief, all experiences and gameplay he gain while playing with Seryes FC will be fully utilize into team strategy in order to bang them hard.

After participate 3 times in MMU League past 3 years...
This year Lanun back in MMU league again for the fourth time.

Starting with “Lanun Rangers”, “Lanun Return” and “Lanun Rombak”
This year Lanun will be call THE LANUN

As for this moment, board of directors proudly to announce that THE LANUN officially join MMU League 2010 season.

Board director also publicize same person will be point as Lanun manager, Mr. Khir or LoMaK even though he fail to take Lanun achieve anything in the previous years.
“We still have faith in him and we believe this year he will bring something great to the team”

LoMak refuse to name Lanun full squad for this season at this moment as he still doesn’t have complete squad and still searching for players.
